On January 13th, 2023, we visited several public schools as they reopened, while we were still on break.

Previously, on June 20th, 2022, we surveyed an LEA primary school in Galadimawa and discovered that most of the books in their library were over eight years old, ranging from 2010 to 2014. We decided to donate five cartons of fairly used books, which were of more recent editions, and a brand-new shelf. Our donation was well received by the students and staff who were delighted to use the books. We hope that they will help to provide a solid foundation for the primary school children.

After that, we visited GSS Galadimawa and spoke with the students and staff to learn how the donated books and shelf had helped them. We received positive feedback and were happy to see the impact of our donation. We also received over 150 hardcover notebooks from Loyola Jesuit College (LJC). We discovered that many students did not have enough materials to take notes, so we donated 70 hardcover notebooks. Due to their size, students can use each hardcover notebook for multiple subjects. Some of these notebooks were also given to the teachers to help them make lesson plans. We also found that the textbooks and shelf we had donated in a previous outreach was being thoroughly used.

Finally, we visited Government Secondary School Kabusa (Junior and Senior), a school we had never been to before. We introduced ourselves and our mission to the administrators, and they were pleased to receive the books we offered for both the junior and senior secondary schools. We discussed with them the facilities and resources students were lacking. It was an amazing learning experience for us. We received numerous blessings from the staff as we offloaded the six cartons of books. Teachers picked out textbooks they believed would help them study and make lesson plans for their students. They also appreciated the WASSCE past questions we donated to help students prepare for national examinations.
