On the 11th of September 2026, Chialugo Mbakwe, the National President of KINS, along with Fela Omole, Folu Omole, and Jesse Nosa, conducted two outreaches. They visited the Durumi IDP Camp school and GSS Galadimawa.

In August 2025, we conducted a follow-up to our 2020 outreach there. While donating used books to the camp, we found a school set up by the Betharbel Foundation, led by Ms. Aiyekusehin Monisola. We discussed at length and discovered that this free school supported over 550 primary school students in the community. When we reached back out, they expressed their needs for notebooks and stationery. With the help of the UC Berkeley Nigerian Students Association fundraiser, we were able to buy the necessary supplies.

At 12:06 pm, we arrived at Durumi IDP Camp and proceeded to go into the interior where the free school is located. We were warmly received by her, the staff, and the students. The four of us gave them a talk on the importance of education and advised them to persevere in their studies. We donated 576 exercise books, 600 sharpeners, 720 pencils, and erasers. It was a pleasure to donate these items within the first week of school and to know it would positively impact their education.

We were also given a tour of the school. We were shown their new tech lab and classrooms, which another philanthropic foundation had begun to build for them. We saw how this school, founded by Ms Monisola, provided education for the underserved children at the camp, and we were truly inspired by the Betharbel Foundation.
