The book collection process in preparation for the 2025 Abuja educational outreaches was a huge success, which went smoothly. Our founder, Chimkasinma, contacted multiple schools, and we were able to connect with three of them this summer to provide books for our outreaches.

Our first course of action was to collect the books from our first donor, Glisten Academy, Jahi, on the 11th of July. They showed great support to the society by giving over 200 textbooks and 50 school uniforms, as well as a thorough letter of donation and words of encouragement and affirmation through the school’s Chief Educational Management Professional, Ms. Chibuzor.

Next, we embarked on a journey to Louisville Girls Secondary School, Gwagwalada, on the 25th of July, where we were welcomed with open arms and given over a thousand books, ranging from JS1 to SS3 across all subjects, through the help of Mr Felix, who coordinated the school’s donation.

Finally, we also received a generous donation from Blooms Academy, Suncity, on the 8th August. We were given over 500 books and had discussions with the School Principal about working together in the future. In addition, veteran school teachers, Mr Sam and Ms Vicky, also showed their support by being present and offering advice and encouragement.

We are extremely grateful to have received nearly 2000 books from these three schools and are positive that we will be able to maintain a relationship with them to continue to play a role in educating the underprivileged. This is merely yet another step towards achieving our goal of playing a role in educating the African youth. Stay tuned for the donation campaign we have planned for the rest of the year.
